If a Myrtle Beach golf course is a no surcharge course, does that mean that it’s not very good? 2017-09-19T16:11:27+00:00

Not at all. In fact some of the no surcharge courses throughout Myrtle Beach are better than some of the surcharge courses. The main difference is price. On a typical golf vacation lasting 4 days, most of our golfers choose a combination of no surcharge courses and surcharge courses. Then again, some courses are so nice that they will always be a surcharge course, and more than likely, well worth the extra charge. Contact our golf directors to learn more about which courses are worth the surcharge to get the most value from your money.

What is the difference between a no surcharge course and a surcharge course? 2017-09-19T16:04:43+00:00

The main difference is price. If you play a no surcharge Myrtle Beach golf course, that means you don’t have to pay any extra money to play it, unlike a surcharge course, where the surcharge could be anywhere from $5 extra to $60 extra depending on the course. There are a few exceptions where the surcharge may be higher. If that’s the case, you know it’s really a premium course. An example would be the Barefoot Resort or TPC Myrtle Beach.

  • Do you offer golf packages for single players?
I want to request a free Myrtle Beach golf package quote, but do I really have to fill out all the form fields? 2017-09-19T16:22:30+00:00

In order to provide you with an accurate Myrtle Beach golf package quote we need as much information about your proposed golf outing as possible. If you don’t know when you want to come or how many days you want to play, our seasonal specials page can give you a good idea of your options. Can I book a Myrtle Beach golf package online through Coastal Golfaway without ever contacting a representative via phone or email? 2017-09-19T16:21:58+00:00

While you can book your entire Myrtle Beach golf package online, we don’t recommend it. At Coastal Golfaway we provide a service. Part of that service is the one-on-one communication with the customer in order to ensure that everything is set up correctly prior to leaving home for the golf vacation. Because our Myrtle Beach golf specialists are friendly and knowledgeable, they can help you consider options and find discounts you’d never think of on your own. Call them at (800) 368-0045 to learn more.

How can I book a golf package that includes lodging close to the Myrtle Beach golf courses I’m playing? 2017-09-19T16:21:29+00:00

That’s hard to answer unless you know where you’re playing, but if you look at our accommodations choices you’ll see a brief description of each resort. Next to that will be a brief listing of some Myrtle Beach golf courses that would be convenient to play. Feel free to also check out our detailed Myrtle Beach golf course and accommodation map. It displays every one of our lodging choices and golf courses in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding area.

Can I book a Myrtle Beach golf package that overlaps specials? In other words, your winter special ends in February and your spring special starts in March. Can I arrive at the end of February and leave in the beginning of March? 2017-09-19T16:19:52+00:00

Of course you can. We’ll customize the price for your golf package just like we would if you wanted to come and stay at one of our lodging choices that is not listed on a current special promotion. In the example above, we could simply figure 3 nights on the winter special and 3 nights on the spring special.

How much would it cost for spouses who don’t play golf to be included in our golf package? 2017-09-19T16:19:26+00:00

Spouses will not be charged for any golf if they don’t play; therefore, we will gladly arrange a price for any non-golfer based on lodging only, as long as there are some golfers in the group. Non-golfers will be charged as the golfer, if they ride along at the golf course.

How do I book a Myrtle Beach golf package if I am golfing by myself? 2017-09-19T16:19:03+00:00

The golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area will not allow us to book a guaranteed tee time for a single golfer. Instead, once you get to Myrtle Beach, simply call the course you would like to play. The pro shop should be able to tell you a time to show up to get paired up with someone else. We’ll be happy to discuss Myrtle Beach golf courses with you, but if you’re by yourself there’s no real need to contact us. Even if you’re bringing a non-playing spouse, you still do not need to book a formal golf package through us.

What happens if someone in my golf package cancels at the last minute? 2017-09-19T16:18:33+00:00

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances could change your plans. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your travel investment. This protection covers you in the case of unforeseen events that impact your travel plans both before and during your trip (typical cost is 3-6% of package amount). To learn more via the web, follow this link “Insure Your Golf Trip Today…Click Here

If you choose not to purchase travel insurance your golf package may be cancelled up to 14 business days prior to the planned date of arrival less any prepaid fees to the accommodations/courses and a $75.00 processing fee per person. No refunds will be made for unused portions of the package once any part is used, except for COURSE CLOSURES. Refunds will be issued within 60 days of arrival date.

Do you offer Myrtle Beach golf specials for large groups? 2017-09-19T16:16:55+00:00

Sure! For every twenty golfers, one gets to come for free. This means that if you get 19 friends to come with you, you can come for free on every night and day that you have 20 golfers. With a group of 40, it’s two free for every night and day that you have 40.

Is it possible to customize your Myrtle Beach golf specials? For example, the special I’m interested in lists 3 nights and 4 rounds, but we want to stay 4 nights and only play 3 rounds. 2017-09-19T16:16:11+00:00

Sure it’s possible. If that’s what you want just let us know and we’ll customize a price for you that will fit your needs. It can be 4 nights 3 rounds or possibly 4 nights 6 rounds. The possibilities are endless, which is why we only list the most commonly requested options. When you request your golf package quote, simply let us know what you’d like.

Where should I stay if I want to be close to Myrtle Beach’s nightlife? 2017-09-22T11:48:13+00:00

If you’re going to stay in a Myrtle Beach condo, the choices that would be the closest to Myrtle Beach nightlife would be the River Oaks condos, Myrtlewood Villas or Arrowhead condos. If you’re staying in a hotel it would either be the Ocean Reef or Long Bay Resort.

What is the difference between staying at a condo or a hotel during my Myrtle Beach golf vacation? 2017-09-22T11:47:16+00:00

Condos are great if you want a little extra room. Most of our Myrtle Beach condos typically have 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room, a full kitchen, a living room area and a patio / porch. Some condos even have extra amenities. However, if you stay at a condo, you’re not going to come back from a round of golf and have your bed made up and the towels picked up from the floor like a hotel. Daily maid service can be available for an additional cost. Whether you stay at a hotel or a condo you don’t have to bring sheets, linens, towels, etc. They are always provided.

If I’m flying into the Carolinas, will I need a car to get around to all the courses? 2017-09-22T11:46:33+00:00

Without a doubt, a rental car is a great idea. There just aren’t a whole lot of taxis in Wilmington and Myrtle Beach.

Will Coastal Golfaway arrange my air travel for me? 2017-09-22T11:45:52+00:00

We do not currently arrange air travel, because we want to focus on doing what we do best – arranging the lodging and golf for our golfers. Your best bet if you know you want to fly into Myrtle Beach is to contact your travel agent for airfare only or just call the airlines directly to get a plane ticket. We advise that you get the air schedule straightened out first prior to making the golf arrangements.

What happens if it rains during my Myrtle Beach golf vacation? 2017-10-09T15:17:06+00:00

The last thing anyone wants on a golf trip is rainy weather, but it can happen. Here is how rainouts are handled: Once a golf package begins, no refunds may be made for any portion except for COURSE CLOSURES. All Myrtle Beach area golf courses have a no-show policy throughout the year, meaning that they do not give refunds unless the golf course is closed for play. These decisions are handled on a course-by-course basis, and many offer only a Rain Check as compensation.

In order to make advance tee-times we must abide by the individual course policy on Rain Checks. Coastal Golfaway will not be able to issue a refund unless you have the golf course voucher “signed off” by the golf course indicating they will not bill Coastal Golfaway for the round.

Upon receiving your “signed off” voucher, Coastal Golfaway will either refund your golf fees less a $5.00 per person administration fee or issue you a full credit to be used towards any course on your next Coastal Golfaway trip. All refunds or credits will be issued after verification of golf course billing and by the 30th of the month following your trip. No changes are to be made to any voucher without prior approval by Coastal Golfaway.

Is the weather the same in Myrtle Beach and Wilmington? 2017-09-22T11:41:39+00:00

For the most part there is no noticeable difference in the weather.

What weather can I expect during my Myrtle Beach golf vacation? 2017-09-22T11:40:54+00:00

The average high in February is 57 degrees. Make sure you bring a sweater or a jacket in case you happen to come on one of our colder days.

The average high in April and October is 74 degrees. Sounds like a perfect time to come on a golf trip! Make sure you pack some shorts.

The average high in July is 88 degrees. We would advise getting an early tee time in order to get some golf in before the temperature gets too high.

Myrtle Beach is the perfect golf destination because it features pleasant weather year-round. The spring months are the most popular for golfers since they generally have mild temperatures with low precipitation. If you’re trying to decide whether or not to pack the shorts, you may want to consult the Weather Channel’s monthly temperature averages for Myrtle Beach.
