From the mountains of West Virginia … to the New Orleans swamps … to the Carolina coast, Pam Richardson is the hillbilly-gypsy of our group.
Since 1978 she has worked in all areas of the travel industry and in 2001 she joined us as a golf specialist.
When Pam is not creating great golf packages and enjoying talking with the Coastal Golfaway customers, she plays a lot of old mountain music and enjoys hanging out on her boat.
How long have you been with Coastal Golfaway?
I win the award for being the longest employed by Coastal Golfaway (other than Jerry himself!).
I have worked in various ends of the travel industry from specialty cruise lines, to travel agencies and airlines. When I came here from New Orleans, I needed to get back to work and Coastal Golfaway fit my background of helping people plan and book their vacations.
What do you like most about working for Coastal Golfaway?
I love the folks I work for and the guys I work with. It’s a fun job. I really enjoy the customers and the relationships I have developed over the years – so many have become like family. I often get questions from repeat customers like, “I can’t believe your son has grown up so fast.”
Where is your favorite place to recommend people to stay in the area and why?
I would say the Yacht Club at Barefoot is one of my favorites. It is just a premier location for groups who want to be close to the great nightlife and restaurant row and be near some of the finest golf that the Grand Strand has to offer.
What is your handicap?
Too numerous to mention.
